Corporate Event Blog: 2009 ConnectWise Partner Summit

Boy was this a fun project! ConnectWise held its 2009 Partner Summit in Orlando last month. This was a huge event, with over 1,200 attendees. Let me tell you, it was quite a show! Well Planned Web created a dedicated event site that highlighted the full online “buzz” around the event and a blog chock-full of new content before, during and after the event. This site is a terrific example of how a Social Media Hub creates a larger impact than a static site alone. With over 40 blog posts, 400 photos and a real-time Twitter feed that wouldn’t quit, ConnectWise and Well Planned Web considered the project a roaring success!

A special thanks to Aaron Booker and Varvid for their awesome video coverage!

The ConnectWise Partner Summit Social Media Hub included:

  • Event Blog, including video, downloads, summit updates and more
  • Live video feed of keynotes
  • Content pagesincluding:
    • Agenda
    • Breakout session grid and full descriptions
    • Speaker
    • Contact Info
    • Media page
    • Sponsor write-ups
  • Twitter feed – using a dedicated hashtag set up ahead of the event
  • Picture feed from Flickr – using a dedicated account set up ahead of the event
  • Mobile version of site and blog

Do you have an event coming up? Let us help you create an online buzz around your event that no press release can ever achieve!
